NLAA Youth Theater Camp: Seussical Kids

Northern Lakes Arts Association is excited to be hosting its very own theater camp this summer. 

During this camp, your children will  put together and create “Seussical Kids!”

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Seussical KIDS is great fun for the whole family. Young performers will be excited to portray the characters from the famous Dr. Seuss books.

Ian Lah and Molly Hill will host a theater camp where area youth will create a show that will play on July 8th at 2 pm and 7 pm. 

The Camp will run from Jun 28th to July 8th. 

The camp will be from 8 am to 11 pm. We will have a day off on the 4th of July. 

Auditions will be held on the first day of camp. Please be prepared to sing, act, and move! 

We have room for only 40 children! 

The cost of participation is $30.
