About the Production:Jesus Christ Superstar takes the Vermilion stage with a fierce rock score, electric vocals, and a cast of artists who bring real grit and urgency to this iconic story. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical lands with clarity here. The sound is driving, the storytelling is sharp, and the emotional stakes sit right at the surface. It is a production shaped by connection, humanity, and the power of community performance.
This production is part of NLAA’s Broadway in the Boundary Waters series. It brings local and professional artists together to create musical theater built for Ely audiences.
