Ely City Band:
Celebrating 137 Years of Music
Celebrating 136 Seasons of Community, Tradition, and Live Music in Ely, Minnesota
The Ely City Band is one of the region’s oldest and most cherished musical traditions, bringing together musicians of all ages and backgrounds for free summer concerts in beautiful Whiteside Park. Under the direction of Karl Kubiak, this volunteer ensemble performs a lively mix of marches, pop medleys, film scores, and patriotic favorites each July—delighting audiences and continuing a legacy that spans more than a century.
Each July, the Ely City Band performs a series of free, family-friendly concerts on Tuesday evenings at 6 PM in Whiteside Park Pavilion, with a special performance immediately following the Fourth of July parade.
Whether you're a longtime local or just passing through, bring a lawn chair, gather your loved ones, and enjoy the timeless joy of live music in the heart of Ely.
