It is a great pleasure to introduce our October artist featured in our Monthly Art Shows in collaboration with Ely's Historic Theater. August Lah will be presenting her body of work entitled "Paper Cuts." From October 10th to October 16th at the Historic State Theater.  August grew up in Ely, Mn, and graduated from EHS in 2011. She graduated then from Emmerson with a degree in writing, editing, and publishing. Following that, she completed two master's programs: A Master's Degree in American Studies from the University Of Wyoming and a master's degree in Creative Writing from the University of Florida. August is a multi-disciplinary artist who works not only with words but paper, ink, and found objects. Her collection "Paper Cuts" invites you into the intimate and whimsical world that we live in. It invites you to view the world with joy and curiosity in your heart.
